Senior Manager, Information Management

Under broad direction, the Senior Manager, Information Management Manage and coordinate the delivery of project Information Management (IM) Execution Plan, Supporting integrated technology and client IM requirements. The incumbent manages a team of various subject matter specialists responsible for implement all EPC automation-related activities on projects



Overall office strategy development in line with corporate initiatives to support multi-business line deployment


Provide people development and direct and general supervision


Act as a liaison with IT and project staff to ensure functional and efficient hardware and software setups for design staff


Promote and ensure effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of KBRs integrated management portals and communities


Work with clients and project management to analyze and develop work processes to accomplish the desired electronic interaction among the client, partners, contractors, suppliers, and KBR


Coordinate IM scopes, services, budgets, and schedules


Coordinate design automation kick-off activities and provide overall cross-discipline automation coordination


Identify and coordinate the IM project turnover and close-out activities


Identify any special local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) and/or computing requirements for the project design effort


Defining the data deliverables and transfer requirements throughout the project lifecycle


Working with project disciplines and stakeholders to ensure they understand overall methodology and data requirements


Assure that all client and KBR Information Security requirements are understood and met by project teams.


Coordinate with Local and Corporate IT to implement new security options (special encryption, rights management, etc.) when requested by client.


Update, develop, and implement training programs for office staff and work with office managers and project managers to organize and conduct this training



Bachelors’ degree in related technology or engineering field with a minimum of 12 years of experience in Information Management and related engineering systems and business processes

Experience with engineering information flow, processing, analysis and reporting

Understanding of document control processes for both engineering, contractor and supplier documentation

Must have a “Team attitude”, be self-motivated and be willing to support other groups and projects when required

Good communication skills and the ability to relay/explain chosen technology solutions to architecture, engineering and construction professionals. This includes sales/client-facing presentations and meetings and the creation of descriptive sections of proposals.

Broad general knowledge of computer systems and networks

Ability to motivate established professionals, external partners, and direct reports

Effective leader: articulate, diplomatic, ethical, and dedicated

Knowledge of industry standards, workflows, data formats and inter-operability techniques

Broad knowledge of common design tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc) required.

Broad knowledge of 3D design systems (PDMS, E3D, SMART3D, etc.) required.

Subject matter expertise in at least one of these is extremely desirable.
