MWR Technician- (Recreation Warehouseman)
Coordinates and implements the MWR mission program at a specific facility. Provides exercise guidance, testing, prescription, and supervision to MWR users and teaches group exercise classes. Assists with health program delivery. Maintains monthly health bulletin boards and educational materials. Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Error is readily ascertainable and can be corrected. Skills are typically acquired through completion of high school and 2
years of experience involving the coordination of organized team sports, recreational club activities, and social event scheduling. MWR Armed Forces experience and some college course work is preferred. CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
Assist in set-up/tear-down and clean-up of facility and equipment for reservations; i.e., INDOC briefings, Award Ceremonies, All Hands, Change of Command functions, Military Balls, Special events, Holiday activities, Entertainment equipment movement for live bands, Outdoor recreation Equipment Gear issue
Receives, checks in, and issues materials and Government furnished property and supplies in support of Outdoor, Recreation, Recreation Sports and Fitness activities.
Assist in responsibility for the issuance and security of MWR assets: DJ/ Sound equipment, and outdoor recreation equipment,
Assist in conducting end of month inventory GFE Fixed Assets/ minor property and consumables
Ensures proper receipt, storage, and issue of all KBR MWR project material and maintains records- of equipment within the facility.
Helps coordinate movement of Recreation materials and inflatable equipment and sets up Picnic reservation site.
Be familiar with 1149’s/ Transfer documents/ material requisitions
Fill in duties at other MWR Recreation facilities / Movie Theater /Library/Loft/720 , Warehouse, 11DN as needed.
Previous Customer Service Training
Current CPR/First Aid AED Certification
Fluent in English (Speak, Read, Write)
Previous Warehouse inventory experience
Be able to lift up to 60 lbs
Must be fluent in English.
Minimum (3) years related experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
