Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks.

1. Analyzes voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
2. Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments. Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
3. Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
4. May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
5. May perform network administration duties.
6. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel and may have supervisory responsibilities.
7. May serve as technical team or task leader.
8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
9. Lead Engineer responsible for research and development of Network Engineering solutions supporting US EUCOM requirements. 11. Coordinate directly with US BICES Enterprise Engineers to ensure Enterprise Standards are followed and implemented in support of EUCOM requirements.
10. Install network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, IP encryptors and collaboration endpoints.
11. Perform in depth analysis of IP routing protocols to include BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
12. Configure and troubleshoot Multicast.
13. Configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels.
14. Configure and troubleshoot H323 and SIP protocol.
15. Plan and implement the network security posture and ensure DISA STIG compliance on network devices.
16. Produce network drawings and documentation.
17. Perform network site surveys for new site installs.
18. IP schema management utilizing Solarwinds IPAM.
19. Participates in special projects as required.



1. 8-10 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design

2. Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
3. Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II (Security+ or equivalent) access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire

4. Additional specific certifications may be required

5. Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design

6. Advanced knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software

7. Advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications

8. May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment

9. This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide

10. The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment
