The Sense and Warn (S&W) command and control (C2) Technician is the C2 system administrative level expert who provides set-up/tear-down and maintenance functions in order to support operations, relocation, and reinstallation of S&W C2 components.
Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals. High school diploma plus ten (10) years professional work experience required in a military or government environment.
Must have seven (7) years of job-related experience or equivalent. Graduate of any military command and control systems administrator course, networking course, Advanced or Warrant Officer Command and Control systems administrator courses are desired. Experience maintaining the Sense and Warn Command and Control, WAVES, and Network systems. Must be knowledgeable, experienced, prepared and capable of performing administration, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and employment of wireless and local area networks and command and control systems.
Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
Must be able to obtain a DoS Medical clearance within 45 days of start and maintain it throughout employment. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination. May be required to spend several months in the Washington D.C. metro area for training and S&W support duties prior to departure to assigned overseas work location. Must also be willing to serve in positions worldwide, which may include domestic assignments. Overseas locations may be located in high-risk environments.
