This is a part-time position. Not to exceed 20 hours weekly.
Pe rforms analysis of current and future Air and Missile Defense (AMD) systems in designated scenarios providing support to the Center for Army Analysis (CAA).
Programmer Analyst conducts AMD analyses using tools such as the Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) in support of the Army's Total Army Analysis (TAA), Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR) and other applications.
Programmer Analyst will support senior Team Members in the development of AFSIM "Framework" modules, initially at the unclassified level.
Programmer Analyst will participate in discussions as member of a cross-discipline product team and routinely interface with the Army office responsible for AMD requirements or execution, operators of air and missile defense systems and other Subject Matter Experts to help ensure quality data inputs and representations. Analyst must demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of
HQDA suspense while maintaining model integrity.
Programmer Analyst will recommend to Team Leads tradeoffs in modeling decisions, weighing both the timeline of the study and the fidelity of the modeling required. Programmer Analyst will assist Team in applying data mining techniques to extract proper information from the simulation results.
Programmer Analyst must have good communication skills, be capable of working independently, as well as being a team player, and able to present material to senior leadership and customers.
As provided and available, Programmer Analyst will incorporate Allied capabilities in analysis. Deliverables will include EADSIM and AFSIM output reports, spreadsheets, data reduction, PowerPoint briefings, Information Papers and White Papers.
Must have a BS degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, etc.), Statistics, Computer Science, Econ, or Mathematics, plus 5 years of experience.
Must have 1-2 years of research, modeling, and analysis experience.
Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance is required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
with EADSIM modeling tool a plus.
