MBL Soldier Team Lead - Military veterans preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Soldier Team Lead manages a team of two project officers and two assistant project officers. The team plans, resources and executes prototype experiments on weapons and other military equipment.  Duties include developing an experiment plan, briefing the customer on the plan, forecasting resources, developing a schedule, supervising the collection of data, and writing a report. Outcomes support the U.S. Army Maneuver Battle Lab analytical efforts. The Team Lead liaises directly with program managers, engineers, and other Department of Defense organizations during the planning, execution, and reporting phases of each experiment.  Significant coordination points include forecasts for experiment resources and scheduling land, ranges and airspace.  The Team Lead is responsible for writing formal reports for MBL leadership. When required, the Team Lead builds a project team of other experiment stakeholders.  The team runs seven to ten experiments annually, often with more than one occurring concurrently.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• The best fit candidate will have knowledge of and experience in U.S. Army Infantry platoon weapons, maneuver doctrine and organization at the company and below level.
• The candidate will have experience briefing and writing reports, and will be able to provide examples of written communication.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. 
• Planning and event oversight are required skills.
• The best fit candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills and will be able to operate independently.
• Candidates must be able to work in outdoors year round regardless of environmental extremes (temperature, humidity, precipitation, etc.).
• Candidates must be able to travel for duty.
• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
