Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in security leadership to fill a critical Senior Security Manager role within RMS Special Programs.

The Senior Manager Security - Special Programs is responsible for collaborating internally and externally, across functions and the program offices to understand requirements and meet business and security objectives. This position sets policies and provides guidance and direction to managers working to solve complex problems. The Senior Security Manager serves as a subject matter expert in the area of Special Programs security; interprets government security requirements and develops strategies for the implementation of security processes. This role enables mission success through proactively providing security support and processes to programs.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partners with product line vice presidents to understand strategic business drivers and develops solutions to ensure mission success, working closely with other security core capabilities and other matrixed organizations as required.
Significant partnership, communication and strategic planning with government customers. Establishes a schedule to visit government customers on a recurring basis to establish requirements.
Develops and implements strategy for security leaders, ensuring consistent practices, policies and procedures in accordance with government requirements.
Collaborates with peers across RMS, RTN, industry, and government agencies, to share best practices and lessons learned. Makes decisions and provides input that impact critical goals and objectives of the business. Conducts briefings, re-briefings and training necessary to ensure compliance.
Supervises 6 direct reports and has overall responsibility for the RMS Special Programs security organization of about 100 employees. Conducts performance and interim reviews; directs and evaluates work products; provides growth and development opportunities for the organization.
Ensures special program security groups are compliant and inspection ready, conducting self-reviews and taking corrective actions as required.
As a member of the RMS Security leadership team, actively participates in decision making that impacts the function and the business.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field is required
This position requires a current, final, Active TOP Secret security clearance with a current investigation within the last 6 years; Eligibility for additional clearances may also be required from the customer
12+ years’ experience in implementing security program requirements
Experience and knowledge of NISPOM, DoD Manual 5205.07 (formerly JAFAN Manual), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) manuals and other applicable Government directives
Experience leading large organizations with large customer complexities
Experience working with, and presenting to, executive level management
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Desired Education, Experience & Skills:
Masters’ Degree in Business Management, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field
Experience leading transformational change
Knowledgeable of Cyber-security requirements
Security Clearance: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Secret security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
