This Electrical Engineer will work in a digital electrical engineering role which performs a wide variety of tasks including the design, development and test of PCBs/FPGAs, embedded processor designs, and COTS based systems. The engineer may perform or support requirements specification, digital design, simulation, design validation, system integration testing, and production support of digital circuits and systems. She/He should also have successfully implemented designs in fielded systems, and constructed test and integration plans. The candidate must have a proven track record of meeting system requirements, schedule deadlines, and project budgets. Responsibilities will require working within a team of engineers in developing designs based on modeling and simulations. The candidate should expect to work with Systems Engineers and other development team members in translating system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications. The relevant digital electronic system designs include signal processing, command and control, communications, and user interfaces for military applications.

Applicant will work as part of a highly motivated team environment, and will be collaborating with cross-functional project teams making up a larger program or internal research and development efforts. Our engineers are assigned to a section manager of approximately 20 employees with similar skills. Each section manager is responsible for their members’ performance, career development, and assigning tasks that balance the employees’ interests with current needs of the project teams.

Required Skills:

•6+ years of experience in the design and implementation of digital, high speed or mixed signal electronic circuits and systems
•Experience in translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design and test specifications
•Experience using engineering CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, CES, Expedition PCB for the design and PCB layout support of complex circuit board assemblies
•Experience working in a laboratory environment using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and lab test equipment to test and verify the functions of digital and mixed signal circuits and systems
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

•Previous work experience with DOD/military defense contractors
•FPGA development and verification using VHDL, SystemVerilog and OVM
•Embedded SW development
•Signal integrity experience using SI Wave or Hyperlynx
•Experience with vendor logic synthesis tools (such as Xilinx Vivado and Altera Quartus)

Required Education (including Major):
•B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (advanced degree a plus)
