The HQ USAREUR KM is responsible for providing collaboration and knowledge management support to HQ USAREUR Command and subordinate units in their daily mission.  The KM operations covers a wide range of collaboration include CRM, SharePoint, TMT and knowledge management applications. The KM maps current business and communication processes, identifies knowledge gaps and inefficiencies in knowledge sharing, formulates technical assessments and incorporates industry best business practices. This includes the generation, application, management, and exploitation of Army knowledge to foster collaboration among soldiers and units in order to share expertise and experience; facilitate leader development and intuitive decision making; and support the development of organizations and teams.

 

Develops, codes, deploys and maintains web applications and websites.   

  1. Provides application development and technical support for customer websites. 
  1. Collaborates with graphic artists to develop web page graphics that support interactive, marketing-focused content. 
  1. Provides technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and enhancements of existing systems. 
  1. Prepares functional specifications from which programs will be written, then designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs. 
  1. Participates in the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of website enhancements. 
  1. Plans, schedules and conducts systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action. 
  1. May prepare technical user guides. 
  1. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff. 
  1. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 
  1. Participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

5-8 years of related experience in web software development.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
