The PILRS Market Segment of SAIC is currently seeking an OCONUS Field Engineer to support its Force Protection operations in the Southwest Asia. The candidate will provide systems support to Force Protection Programs and capabilities that will be fielded and sustained OCONUS. Support the hardware and software management of Force Protection Systems. Familiarity Integrated Base Defense (SoS) preferred. The candidate will conduct threat assessments and develop site design packages addressing vulnerability issues. Must be familiar with Force Protection measures and emplacement/utilization of technology to meet Warfighter needs. Candidate will perform complex analysis ensuring all threat assessments are addressed. The candidate will assist in design and installation of hardware and custom software applications. Verification of connectivity across platforms is required. Support configuration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of wired and wireless networks that provide sensor connectivity to command posts and command post software. Assist in applying appropriate safeguards to ensure that fielded information systems and networks are defended to maintain integrity, availability, authentication, confidentiality, and non- repudiation.
The candidate will perform extensive troubleshooting to determine faults within the system.
Provide support for user demonstrations, user feedback events, and operational assessments.
Must be familiar with custom software applications (EEA, E2A, FPA, JACCS).
Requires in-depth customer interaction with military units on the ground during site visits.
Must possess on the spot personal decision making skills.
The candidate will also be required to assist with the movement of repair parts from storage sites to the FOB.
Must meet DoD Height/Weight standards.
Must currently possess a SECRET security clearance.
Must satisfactorily complete CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements, including medical and dental requirements prior to deployment.
Must be able to lift 97 pounds occasionally and 73 pounds frequently.
Must be willing to live and work in austere, hostile environment for extended periods of time.
Bachelor’s and 2+ years of experience in areas of related Force Protection, Logistics, or Technical experience is required.
Must possess custom software installation and troubleshooting skills.
Must have 6-8 years of direct experience in areas of maintaining and accounting for Force Protection equipment i.e. ECP, Mobile Vehicle and Cargo Inspection System, Personnel Scanners, Rapid Reaction Tunnel Detection Kits, Counter Bomber, Subtle Madness, Hard Impact, GlassWave, Force Protection Suite, Mid-Range Thermal Imager (MRTI), Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance System (RDISS), and other Force Protection equipment programs.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
