Support Product Manager Sensors – Unmanned and Rotary Wing as a radar engineer. Provide radar engineering support for an airborne system; including wide-area ground moving target indicator (GMTI), dismount moving target indicator (
DMTI ) and synthetic aperture
Comprehend radar phenomenology, including hardware components, signal processing techniques, antenna design, modeling, and simulation to support both ground based and airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) radars. Provide expertise to evaluate vendor proposed radar solutions, algorithms, and techniques.
Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline and at least 10 years of experience in HW/SW design, development, integration and documentation or in a related field of system and test engineering.
Experience in DOD application development
Must have Top Secret Clearance
Travel up to 25% of the time
Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation when dealing with ambiguous and fast-paced situations
Ability to lead multiple teams, manage relationships, and be a key contributor in training efforts
Possession of excellent data-gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience with SAR or GMTI radars
Experience with radar signal processing and RF design
Experience with radar modeling and simulation
Experience with radar architectures and overseeing the design of radar systems and components
Experience with supporting radar test and evaluation both in simulated and live environments
Experience with MATLAB or radar simulation software
Excellent technical management and communication required to oversee execution and technical accuracy.
Experience with integrating sensors on an aerial platform (preferred)
Experience with aircraft flight handling and general flight operations and support
Will be required to coordinate with the multiple contractors and Government organizations on technical solutions
Understanding of the Army Airworthiness Release process and system changes that could impact an AWR
Participate in weekly project and engineering meetings to review project progress and issues.
Effectively communicate and coordinate with the senior military leadership, US Government customers, Contracting officer and Contractors (Prime and Sub), to establish relationships to support program management business rhythms, capture initiatives and other new requirements as appropriate.
Review and evaluate projects Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM)
Attend various IPTs, provide engineering input to vendors and team members
