About the role

The core objective for this role is to drive improvements in the control and management of master data across the Finance & Business Services with a specific focus on the Core SAP systems.


The Master Data Management Analyst will be responsible for the timely and accurate creation and maintenance of master data in National Grids SAP operating system and will provide support to the business to ensure accurate and efficient input of, and changes to, master data in SAP.


In addition, they will help shape the way in which master data is managed as new tools are embedded across National Grid to drive improvements in productivity, quality and control.

About you

  • Exposure to the SAP ERP system, specifically where related to master data creation and maintenance.
  • Highly computer literate – advanced excel.
  • Effective prioritisation skills and comfortable rejecting requests which are not in line with requirements.
  • Strong Team Player - works closely with other team members plus the wider group to ensure master data is accurate.
  • Influencing skills - able to influence the business to follow processes and see the value in data if stored properly.
  • Attention to detail –ability to concentrate on a process and follow it to the letter ensuring master data is changed in line with policy and procedure.
  • Degree level or equivalent.
