The CAD Designer/Engineer will provide 2D&3D CAD design support for various DOD and government programs. They will need to have excellent SolidWorks knowledge and the ability to produce complex solid model assemblies. These models will be developed into 2D drawings for manufacturing and installation.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for doing mechanical assemblies by drawing interpretation as well as by using written work instructions. The work environment requires interaction with many disciplines so the ability to work in a team is a must. Having excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are highly valued.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop 3D CAD models and drawing.

Understand and control configuration management of drawings and models.

Work in shop assembling large and small assemblies.

Provides data and information to others on departments.

Communicates with vendors and customers as needed.

Develop and implement solutions to engineering and fabrication problems

Effectively communicate with engineers, project managers on schedule

Provides status to manufacturing management as issues arise


Basic Qualifications:

Must be able to read and interpret drawings.

Must be able to assemble large and small parts using hand tools.

Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly as needed.

Must have the ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team.

Must be proficient in office procedures and possess good writing and verbal skills.
