The Sense and Warn (S&W) Regional Manager is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) that coordinates all
overseas operational aspects of the S&W Program. The Regional S&W Manager supports the U.S.
Department of State S&W Program requirements for an overseas theater in a potentially high-threat
environment. While serving primarily within the overseas environment, the Regional S&W Manager
may be periodically required to travel to and support other Sense and Warn-related operations within the
continental United States. The Regional S&W Manager will demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of
specialization as an in-theater manager. To do so, the Regional S&W Manager must be proficient in
providing technical expertise in the following areas: force and systems integration, fielding; training, testing, and logistics sustainability of the S&W Program. In addition, the Regional S&W Manager must
have working knowledge of: Army Air Defense systems, Field Artillery Counter-fire Target Acquisition
radar sensors, Local Area Network systems, and with Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control.
Ancillary responsibilities may include assistance in the research, development, reviewing, staffing, and
coordination of products and plans that ensure the functional, operational and system integration of the S
& W Program.
Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. A TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance may be required to meet changing requirements.
Ten years of experience or equivalent work with or supporting a combination of counter-fire sensors,
force protection and FA target acquisition and CRAM systems. Must have experience with Department of
Defense or U.S. Department of State processes and regulations, requirements documents, testing, fielding,
force structure, and logistics sustainment.
Knowledge of a variety of military radar products/systems is required; Army or Marine Corps radar
operations experience preferred. Working knowledge of doctrine, organization, leadership, personnel, and
facility analysis. Working knowledge of training and maintenance processes, procedures, and regulations.
Experience working with Counter-Rocket/Artillery/Mortar system capabilities. Demonstrated ability to
analyze and resolve problems and have excellent verbal and written communications management
processes. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software suite.
Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must
demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and
tactful manner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive
team. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and
have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Must be proficient with
Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office,
Must be able to obtain a DoS Medical clearance within 45 days of start and maintain it throughout employment. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination. May be required to spend several months in the Washington D.C. metro area for training and S&W support duties prior to departure to assigned overseas work location. Must also be willing to serve in positions worldwide, which may include domestic assignments. Overseas locations may be located in high-risk environments.
