ManTech Growth & Capabilities (G&C) is seeking a hands-on solution architect with a passion for Systems Engineering in a DevOps environment, the ability to develop, implement and lead a specific technical strategy based on client and market needs.

The ideal candidate will have a high level ability to understand and assess new technologies and understanding their applicability to business. The candidate will provide technical leadership and service delivery strategy by actively identifying and solving complex problems, envisioning and enabling critical processes, and fundamentally helping the team and our customers achieve their objectives. The candidate will provide relevant, thoughtful and prescriptive advice, grounded in relevant experience, with clarity and objectivity. Must manage and implement multiple work streams in a timely manner ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Performs as a hands-on Systems Engineer/Architect and expert technical practitioner, in a small team environment, to solution and develop strategic technical capabilities as directed
  • Considered a lead and may coordinate efforts among matrixed teams performing system engineering of specialized applications and systems
  • Develops and documents security engineering guidance, processes, and procedures
  • Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Answers technical questions regarding products and services, and may take part in putting together proposals, configurations and product offerings

  • Hands on expertise with Windows and Active Directory management. Linux expertise is also strongly desired
  • Current, active experience with scripting languages (e.g. python, powershell, perl, bash) and automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform
  • Experience operating within a DevOps pipeline environment
  • Familiarity with engineering in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Management of matrixed teams performing systems development and integration to include design, installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and back-up/restore
  • Experience with configuration management, systems documentation, and iterative development
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent and ten to twelve years of related experience
  • Minimum of four years experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms
