TAAC-Air Operations Support Services (OSS) Air Liaison Officer (ALO) Mentor personnel will train, advise and assist the Afghan Air Force (AAF) Air Liaison Officers (ALO) forward deployed to Afghan National Army (ANA) Corps headquarters so as to develop a sustainable and enduring Air-Ground Integration (AGI) process critical to military operations.

ALO Mentors shall participate in team, technical, and working group meetings as required; prepare and present briefings to the US Government as related to this effort; responsible to function within the RTN staff; provide inputs to WFF/WTA management; participate in the planning process and recommend improvement opportunities.

ALO Mentors will be stationed at one of six coalition bases in each Corps location, but may move between them and/or HKIA at the discretion of Program or Deputy Program Manager. These six Coalition bases are Kandahar (Kandahar province), Shorab (Helmand province), Herat (Herat province), Mazar-e-Sharif (Balkh province), Jalalabad (Nangarhar Province), and Gardez (Paktia province).

Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training and perform duties six (6) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while in CONUS.


Train, advise, assist forward deployed AAF (ALO) in the execution of processes required to establish enduring and sustainable AAF/ANA/MoD AGI) enterprise.
Coordinate with USAF & AAF advisors on a daily basis.
Assist and develop a glide path for the AAF to meet (CM).
Assess the AAF's progress toward CMs and balance assessment with AAF aptitude, personnel availability, and resource constraints.
Provide daily, weekly reports, presentations as required to Raytheon's Warfighter Focus (WFF) Program Area Director, Support Mission.
Develop products and train various coalition and AAF aircrew and leadership.
Adhere to all scheduled timelines, milestones, delivery schedules and administrative requirements to include on-time delivery of reports, data products, billing invoices, staffing of personnel and action team completion.
Ensure timely problem identification and development of corrective action plans impacting the contract.
Develop curriculum, train, advise, assist and mentor AAF ALO as required in the establishment and daily execution of AAF/ANA/MoD AGI processes, including (but not limited to):
· Integration of ISR into strike missions
· Future and Current Operations coordination from Kandak to Corps to Ministry of Defense


Must have at least 6 years of related work experience in one of following specialties: USAF, USN, USMC strike pilot
Former service member
Experienced in both AI and CAS: US Army attack helicopter pilot, USAF, USN, USMC CSO or WSO
Experienced in both AI and CAS: USAF Air Liaison Officer (ALO), USMC FAC, AO, FAC-A

Experienced as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)(any branch of service)
Extensive experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
· Brigade or Battalion level MDMP
· Aircraft/weapon capabilities
· Planning and execution of Combined Strikes
· Integration of fires
· Terminal Control of strike aircraft
· Integration of ISR into strike missions
· Future and Current Operations coordination from Kandak to Corps to Ministry of Defense
Experience/sensitivity with diverse cultures MS Office Skills, Falcon View
Experience preparing written correspondence and information products for staff and company employees
Excellent organizational and management skills
Excellent problem solving skills and ability to timely implement new solutions
Valid US Passport with at least 1 year validity
Must be able to obtain & maintain an Afghan visa
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. DoD Security Clearance as of day one of employment
Must have held an active Secret Security Clearance within the last 24 months.

Bachelor's degree & 6 years of related experience, OR 4 years related experience with Master's degree, or 2 years with related PhD are required from an accredited school. 8 years of additional equivalent work experience (14 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.

Include, but are not limited to, the wear of body armor and helmet Personal Protective Gear, unassisted lifting and carrying of duffle bags not exceed the weight of 70 lbs. per piece, and the unassisted movement over uneven terrain.
Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that there could be further assignments to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government, to include hostile and austere areas.
Must be able to attend and pass USG deployment requirements at CRC, Fort Bliss, Texas or equivalent location.
Must meet the medical requirements for the position being offered as determined by a pre-employment medical screening and in accordance with published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards.
Ability to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8 hours per day and sit for up to 3 hours per day; routinely climb / descend stairs; routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders; read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print; and communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
Employee will be required to work and live in a potentially hostile environment, at remote locations, and under austere conditions.
Employee may be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, under extreme weather conditions, within a hostile environment.
The individual may be exposed to extreme noise from aircraft, hostile fire, and other acts of aggression associated with this region.
Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders. All tours are unaccompanied.
