Air and Missile Defense Engineer / Scientist will provide customer support for an Army Lower Tier Project Office Air and Missile Defense program by applying knowledge of engineering and science methods and processes to assess and characterize missile system designs, technical products, and integration requirements.

Candidate will evaluate materiel solutions / operational needs to identify system performance requirements; ensure compatibility and integration of sub-systems / components; perform trade studies and analyses (e.g., performance, systems integration, affordability, safety, testability, maintainability, survivability, training and vulnerability) to optimize system performance. Candidate will support determination and identification of weapon system modernization candidates and make recommendations for strategic planning.

Candidate will attend Integrated Product Team meetings, design reviews, review contractor deliverables and provide assessment findings to government customer. Candidate must possess the ability to communicate and interact with the government customer on a routine basis.


Required skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with 5 years’ experience in supporting Air and Missile Defense Weapon Systems; PATRIOT Weapon System and individual components experience

Desired skills: Operational PATRIOT experience and experience in working with the Army Futures Command / Cross Functional Teams. Applicant must be a self-starter and be able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.

10% travel may be required. Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
