Position:  893-Senior Cyber Analyst Type:  Full Time Location:  Washington, District of Columbia

Frontier Technology Inc. is seeking a senior Cyber Analyst / Tool Developer who possesses the experience and skillset to lead Cyber Analytics development and provide services in support of the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives supporting the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for  Information and Integration Portfolio Management (DASD/I&IPM).  Specifically, to support and integrate innovative technologies for cyberspace operations and resiliency assessment capabilities supporting the Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Combatant Commands, Services and Defense Agencies.   This position will support analytical work as well as assist in the development of new capabilities to address and mitigate the impact we have on our nation’s security each day.  Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.


  • Work with DOD stakeholders, including senior leader and working level government and contractor employees, to continually and concisely specify goals, objectives, measures, and thresholds for cyber operations and measured responses.
  • Become proficient in FTI Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) decision support tools and methods, and determine their applicability to address client requirements.
  • Specify gaps in FTI tool capability and design and develop extensions and improvements to FTI tools as appropriate to satisfy client needs.
  • Apply and/or extend FTI tools and methods to perform market research, technology readiness assessment, and trades analysis to identify existing products optimally aligned with enterprise objectives, capability gaps, and the maturing technologies most likely to close the gaps.
  • Apply and/or extend FTI tools and methods to inventory data sources that may be useful for identifying and describing critical cyber vulnerabilities, costs, and capabilities of existing and planned defensive capabilities for all stakeholders.  In this sense, “stakeholders” may be US government, defense contractors, and allied and adversarial organizations.
  • Apply semantic and modeling techniques to extend capabilities of FTI tools and thereby create digital architectural and analytical artifacts that fully describe persistent cyber operations and measured response requirements.   
  • Apply FTI tools and methods, digital architectural analytics, and model based system engineering, to design and develop an open system framework for cyber monitoring and measured response.  


  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other math or computer related discipline; 2 years of experience in software/tool development in a variety of roles on a variety of projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with software development in C#/Visual Studio (.NET Framework) and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), or C/C++, Python, or Object Oriented development
  • Ability to plan development utilizing Agile concepts
  • Quick understanding of existing code and applications to reduce development time by leveraging existing code, making modifications to adapt to new requirements.
  • Ability to determine essential versus nonessential functionality to meet minimum requirements for projects with limited time, scope, and resources. Ability to quickly make decisions about the relative trade-offs of design decisions, and how they affect the final product.
  • Experience in the delivery of software products, especially in situations where time and resources are limited.
  • Proven ability to work closely with others as a member of the team.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate software in person or via web meeting to customers.


  • Demonstrated experience in Defensive and Offensive Cyber Operations and Cyber Analytics
  • Experience with data collection and data analytics
  • Ability to lead cyber and network infrastructure teams with specific focus on Network Defense and Vulnerability Management
  • Programming/Coding experience with various applications including: Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Agile, PyCharm, Date Modeling, GitHub, and Oracle BI is highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to reverse engineer various components/tools
  • Broad understanding of computer network defense, vulnerability management and security policy & compliance
  • Knowledge of software security principles and Windows API 
  • Ability to perform and manage activities involved with requirements gathering, design, development, documentation, interfacing, integration, testing, maintenance, and modification of complex classified and unclassified software applications. 
  • Experience in providing oversight of development and enhancement of large-scale integrated security and DoD technology deployment initiatives that address multi­ layered security from the desktop to the infrastructure
