Join the Hypersonic Programs team at Lockheed Martin Space! Lead the Stress and Dynamics Mechanical Engineering analysis team as part of the HCSW Program, Payload Delivery Vehicle (PDV) IPT. Join us as the Engineering Manager of the Stress and Dynamics group, position location in Valley Forge, PA. As the Stress and Dynamics leader, direct team efforts, ensure technical program execution from design, analysis and test, and deliver products consistent with program needs associated with the PDV IPT. Perform management duties including scheduling, tasking and status reporting. Support new business proposals, program configuration reviews, technical write-ups, and cost performance reviews. Partner with Program and Functional leadership for technical development, training, career development, performance assessments and evaluations. Promote standard analysis and technical processes, best practices, and commonality across the enterprise. Collaborate with personnel at all levels from other organizations and programs, and interface directly with customer and program management, representing the Stress and Dynamics analysis team. Frequent travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Commercial Space, Space Vehicles and/or Hypersonic hardware stress and dynamics analyses.
Experience in design and analysis of ballistic/maneuvering RVs and dynamics testing for strategic/conventional weapon systems.
Knowledge and experience with structural analysis tools such as ABAQUS/NASTRAN and Matlab.
Technical expertise in the design, analysis and testing of space flight hardware, including two years as a team lead or equivalent role.
Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with this position.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including customer technical liaison for technical meetings and design reviews.

Previous functional management and CAM experience.
Strong technical and management skills in aerospace structural analysis, spanning missile and spacecraft, including finite element analysis and classical analysis methods.
Considered a technical leader in structural analysis and test with direct experience.
Familiarity/experience working with national labs or other government agencies.
A working knowledge of the various analysis tools used across mechanical disciplines such as NX, TMG, Pointwise, ReKAP, CREO, Zuken, STK, ATAC, ATAP, Cart3D, etc.
Demonstrated leadership experience of a large group or team. Demonstrated ability to provide personal and technical leadership and guidance.
Ability to work closely with engineering functional and program management, and with other Engineering, Manufacturing, and Assembly, Integration & Test leaders.
Thermo-structural analysis of composite materials.
CAM certification, CPE certification, Green Belt certification, New Business Proposal / WBOE experience.
BS Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent/related fields.
MS Engineering and/or Business Administration.
