The spatial systems analyst will report within the

Environment and Planning team but will actively collaborate with all

engineering disciplines across the business.

The Opportunity

You will demonstrate your skills in spatial

systems and use your technical knowledge to provide expert input to allocated

projects. Your primary focus will involve undertaking project requirements such

as data manipulation, visualisation and development of cartographic map

products, while at the same time exploring

opportunities with the internal Digital Engineering team to integrate

GIS capabilities within the broader digital engineering strategy.

Provide spatial systems input, advice and expertise on

environmental and engineering projects

Develop spatial systems solutions in collaboration with

other internal/external professionals

Provide high-level cartographic products of spatial

data and GIS outputs

Design, implementation and administration of spatial



manipulation, analysis, management and visualisation of spatial data sets

including 2D and 3D modelling


of mobile digital data capture systems


of support to internal business groups



qualifications in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Sciences or a

related discipline

Experience in GIS and spatial sciences, data analysis

and modelling

A working knowledge of the ArcGIS and/or Mapinfo

suite of desktop tools is highly desirable

Familiarity with the use of mobile data collection

methods and desktop programming

Knowledge of spatial co-ordinate systems and the

transformation and translation of spatial data (including CAD drawings)

The ability to work effectively in a team environment

and meet deadlines

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to

interact with people at all levels

Ability to work independently, undertake and deliver

packages of work with minimal supervision
