The Security Specialist will assist with the coordination and monitoring sensitive aspects of PM SAI programs, ensuring compliance with government and security policies and procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities consist of the following:

Maintain visitor control and access control functions.

Investigate personnel and physical security violations and incident reports.

Manage the day-to-day operations of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).

Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Manage physical security and document control.

Establish and maintain relationships with all government agencies.

Will participate in weekly project and engineering meetings to review project progress and issues.

Will be tasks with communicating and coordinating with the senior military leadership, and US Government customers.

Will attend various PD ARL IPTs while providing input to vendors and team members.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, plus 5 years of experience is required for this role.

Prior experience as a Facility Security Officer is required for this role.

Must have experience following Operational Security (OPSEC) Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Experience dealing with Defense Security Services leadership and personnel is required.

Must have a current Top Secret Clearance.

Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time

Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation when dealing with ambiguous and fast-paced situations.

Must have experience data-gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must have experience supporting OPSEC, Industrial Security, Information Security, Physical Security and Personnel Security.

Desired qualifications:

CDSE Facility Security Officer (FSO) Certificate.
