Title: Quality Inspector (Mechanical Space)

Position Description:

·

Performs analyses/audits to ensure compliance with contract and customer program requirements and specifications through analysis and/or audits for processes in engineering, software, operations, documentation, training, configuration management, reliability and maintainability, maintenance, facilities, services, and other processes as may be defined

·

Performs analyses/audits of work performed against a specific process

·

Reviews processes that indicate how activities are performed in operations, engineering, documentation, maintenance, facilities, and training

·

Mechanical Inspection of all structural/mechanical space flight hardware using hand inspection tools, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection stations and optical inspection systems

·

Maintain flight traceability and build files per program requirements

·

May have customer interface

·

Performs all other duties as assigned

Position Scope:

·

Works under general supervision to resolve routine problems or tasks that are generally well defined but are not always repetitive.

·

Focus is on non-routine tasks, projects or processes where external customer interface may be required and that is designed to provide experience and familiarization with the quality system.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree with 0 years of experience. In lieu of formal education, 8 years of experience

Must be a U.S. citizen, and an active Secret (or higher) security clearance is highly desired.

Prior security clearance may be considered

Additional Qualifications:

Has experience and understands basic quality system procedures

Able to work on more than one task at a time

Ability to understand technical documents that describe the system and processes

Ability to work with other personnel as a team member

Ability to understand policies, procedures and processes

PCDMIS inspection software knowledge and experience highly desirable
