Description:Come join the Space and Missiles Product Line Engineering team that is taking the Lockheed Martin Space flight software development to the new frontier of engineering common, modular and extensible products to build and fly spaceships from low earth orbits to the farthest edges of space.
This position is the Chief Software Architect for Enterprise FSW Product Line Engineering that is building the Bus and Payload software for the Lockheed Martin family (LM50/400/1000/2100) of satellites. This position will require proactive engagement with all of the LM Space LOBs, Centers Of Excellence (COEs), and related Product Lines to develop con ops and architectures that meet demands of the changing business environment for building spacecraft. This position will help lead multiple IRADs, shape the software baselines across all bus classes, lead assessment and plans for inclusion of new technology into the space flight realm, and be key in the coordination with new and existing programs.
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated delivery of operational systems including Space Flight and supporting software and hardware systems.
Demonstrated experience with multiple customers and full, end-end systems (Space-Ground) including operations.
Demonstrated experience with multiple software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

Desired Skills:
Certification as a Software Architect.
Demonstrated experience with space flight processors and real-time software development.
Experience with model-based design with code generation and integration with Flight Software.
Experience with supporting systems to Flight vehicles including Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), Simulation and Testbeds, and Mission/Ground Operations and Control systems.
Payload onboard applications for data processing as well as ground-based payload data processing including vehicle State of Health, Optical, and RF data.
Demonstrated experience with development of Class B/C/D and Safety Critical software
