Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer Staff for a position in Orlando, FL to provide administrative support, guidance, direction and assistance for day-to-day operations of external 3rd Party Supplier Quality Field Engineer personnel. Responsibilities include:

Provide external 3rd Party Supplier Quality Field Engineer support, training and coordinate scheduled product source inspections, first articles, Purchase Order Reviews, special process surveys and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.

Utilize quality methodologies and Missiles and Fire Control policies and procedures

Validate 3rd Party Labor and Travel expenses.

Collaborate with BA's for Continuous Improvement of 3rd Party processes.

Represent MFC in quarterly QSC PMR's.

Provide support to external 3rd Party Supplier Quality Field Engineer personnel to ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified while also interfacing with suppliers on an as required basis.

Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, while interfacing with customers and program management.

Provide internal, external and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests and Non-conformances.

Provide support for (as required) supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.

Liaison between program and the Customer to ensure Customer satisfaction and accomplishment of Customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering degree, or equivalent experience, in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry

Extensive knowledge and experience conducting PO reviews, source inspections, Special Process/QMS surveys, FAI’s, and surveillance at supplier facilities.

Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material

Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality
of products and in Quality Management processes

Experience working with Government customers

Experienced as a facilitator and leading teams / influencing

Ability to influence outcomes

Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Strong understanding of engineering requirements

Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems

Experience certifying/approving a supplier to perform specified processes

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions

Extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all supplier quality field engineering activities

Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts (Buyers) and Government Representatives
Desired Skills:
ASQ Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)

Experience with working with suppliers in a dynamic environment

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

Advanced AS9100, AS9102 and Interpretation and application experience

Demonstrated leadership and customer relationship management skills
