Description:Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on aircraft mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, and frames. Works from drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs and saws. May conduct quality inspections or processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to the specifications and under simulated conditions.
Capable of reading and understanding blueprint drawings, general knowledge of aircraft structural and sheet metal practices, knowledgeable of various aircraft fasteners and installation equipment, familiarity with various low tolerance measuring devices, security clearance.
Experience installing all types of aircraft fasteners.
Sheet metal experience.
