Diego Garcia: Senior Network Engineer
Provides incident response to include quickly analyzing, blocking and fixing systems/networks/problems in a threat situation; correlating firewall logs, system audit logs, and antiviral postures.
Implements required course of action and/or recommendation to the client regarding open incidents and events for routers, firewalls, dial-up and internet access.
Performs vulnerability alert compliance, and configuration of system and network infrastructure components, including web servers.
Needs to possess the ability to audit, analyze and understand the existing infrastructure process and to communicate how to incorporate the required principles and practices into the operational technical environment.
A strong ability to perform research, install, configure and maintain UNIX, and Linux platforms is necessary.
Proven experience working with Cisco routers, Switches, fiber modems and sub netting are needed.
Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting security configuration issues with MS Exchange, WWW, DNS and NT Domain Controllers are required.
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Evaluates, recommends, installs, and supports local area network (LAN) and associated topology infrastructure.
Evaluates LAN hardware and software requirements and capabilities related to user needs, and makes recommendations.
Designs network architecture, and plans and coordinates total network integration.
Supervises installation of required hardware.
Installs application software programs.
Assigns all routing protocols placed on routers on the network.
Provides software and hardware familiarization overview with users.
Installs, configures and connects to networks Cisco routers and switches.
Reviews site surveys, provides technical assistance to team members in the running of Fiber Optic to connect hardware, the local area network.
Provide Troubleshooting support for major nodes on a network.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING:
Current CCNA Qualification.
Three years of experience working in an enterprise environment
Two years working with UNIX or Linux, Two years Network Management.
Top Secret security clearance required.
Associate’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering and five years’ experience in a Microsoft operating environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Windows 10 Professional, Microsoft Office 2013 Professional, IBM, BMC remedy, UNIX and Linux.
Able to effectively communicate (written and oral) in English with management, clients, and all other employees.
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
