The Engineering Technician/Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for reading, interpreting and following basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written work instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. The Assembler will utilize hand held tools such as a rivet guns, drills, torque wrenches etc. as well as assemble an entire product or component of a product.
The Assembler will be tasked with the retrieval and preparation of components prior to assembly as well as the assembly and installation equipment and products per engineering specifications, drawings and work instructions. The Assembler will perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures as well as maintain a clean and safe work area.
High School Diploma
Must have minimum 1 year experience
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. for an extended duration.
Must be able to communicate with all functional areas within the organization 100% of time.
Demonstrate product and process knowledge to newly learned techniques.
Will have some knowledge of all specifications required to produce products in a similar manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail
Able to work in different environments, with proper PPE
Operate Press brake, bridge ports, install hardware etc.
Basic computer skills and or familiarity with a manufacturing based operating system
Able to use and understand metric/standard tape measures and scales.
Secret clearance (Airport/facility badge)
Associates degree in manufacturing/ Engineering technology
3 years’ experience
Will have a working knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 & or AS9100D Quality Management Systems with process improvement methodology.
