Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Contracts has an opening for a Contracts Administrator in the Strategic and Naval Systems (SNS) product line supporting the Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) IIA program. SM-3 is an important ballistic missile defense system that provides layered protection around the world.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the SM-3 IIA program team and responsible for contractual support to ongoing production and development efforts. This includes Request for Proposals (RFP) analysis; proposal development, review and coordination of contract modifications; contract negotiations; and general contract management duties.
Responsibilities include working closely with Program Managers and Business/Estimating functions to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals; providing support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues; ensuring that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies while creating quality business results; and advising management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks. Some travel is required.
BS/BA in Business, Finance, or related field
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements; ability to contribute to negotiation strategy and possess strong negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated success working in a teaming environment both internally and externally
Capable of handling several assignments concurrently
Focus on responsiveness with strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust
Ability to obtain a USG issued security clearance
Existing US Government issued security clearance
JD and MBA a plus
Relevant internship in Industry, Government, or Think Tank/Institute
Security Clearance This position requires the eligibility to obtain security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
