Job Purpose
The ideal candidate will be representing the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) organization, operates as an interface and liaison between I&O and major US Strategic Progams (GBE). The objective of this role is to leverage the full range of resources and experience across I&O to support the successful delivery of the GBE Program.
Key Accountabilities
Stakeholder Management - Interaction from PMs up to VP level and with Gas Business management – mostly at the IT Director level.
Identification and management of dependencies between I&O and GBE projects. Co-ordination with I&O/Solution Delivery PDMs
Ensures correct I&O resources are fully engaged across the GBE Program.
Ensures service transition processes are fully understood and followed by GBE to achieve successful delivery.
Provide interface and clarity into IT Change process management and escalation process
Vendor management of Infrastructure partners working on the GBE Program, actively works to remove potential roadblocks
Coordinates knowledge sharing between I&O and GBE, ensuring roadmaps and plans are regularly shared
Facilitates prioritization of work across GBE and I&O
Qualifications
BS and educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Confirmation of successfully leading large scale programs and managing portfolios of projects and programs.
Extensive experience at successfully delivering challenging and complex technology programs/ business change involving working with globally based employees and development partners
Has the ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders at Director/EVP level.
Has proven leadership, relationship, communication and presentation skills
A good knowledge of the business and IT strategy and drivers.
Understands National Grids policies, management structures and reporting procedures for all aspects of the Program’s environment. Demonstrate the Valued Business Partner capabilities and behaviours in all interactions with IT Colleagues, vendors and business stakeholders.
