The Principle Application Architect – SalesForce.Com (SFDC) - is accountable for the design of business solutions in response to specific business needs that are fit for purpose, compliant, and adhere to all National Grid operational, architectural and design standards and principles. Ensuring the integrity of solution designs from concept through implementation, balancing the architectural concerns of projects with concerns of the enterprise. Provide technical guidance to wider project team and business stakeholders.
The Applications Architect should have in depth knowledge of Salesforce.com Sales, PRM, and Service Cloud implementations and functionality
In this capacity, the AA will be an expert in SFDC development, API, APEX, Visualforce and other tools that extend the product
AA must be able to lead a technical requirements gathering session, oversee and approve creation and maintenance of application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts and manage integration
Responsible for full systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions for SFDC
Review code from SFDC development team to ensure best practices, business requirements, and architectural objectives are met
Participate in Innovation activities
Document standards, solutions, data flows, procedures, and other technical information as directed
Evaluate and apply emerging SFDC capabilities in order to meet current or emerging business needs
Provides master-level technical support to technical staff within the appropriate discipline
Knowledge of business analysis techniques, tools and requirements gathering
Mentoring/coaching of team members in business analysis, development & Salesforce.com best practices
Experience with SFDC system design, configuration, customization, integration, testing and support
Knowledge of integration points with other applications and the order in which these must be executed
Experience with large SFDC project implementations
Educated to degree level in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
7-10 years of Experience developing in SFDC platforms
Experience applying SFDC functions and patterns within solution designs
Good written and verbal communications skills
Good stakeholder management and influencing skills at project stakeholder level
Ability to multi-task
Salesforce.com certification(s) required
Current experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies (SAFe experience is highly desirable)
