We are seeking a candidate to join our Lockheed Martin Space team and be a member of the Financial Accounting department.
The candidate will be responsible for performing various activities in support of the monthly accounting close and consolidation process.
Candidate will be responsible for:
• Preparation of the monthly Accounting Trial Balance for several entities
• Supporting the monthly review of the financials with the Director
• Point of contact for our external auditors
• Reporting duties such as responding to inquiries from the corporate accounting and tax departments.
• Account reconciliations.
• Preparation of ad hoc and monthly journal entries.
Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with peers, management, and the corporate accounting and tax departments.

- Prior accounting, audit, or finance experience
- Perform with a high level of accuracy
-Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills
-Candidate must be able to adjust work schedule as necessary to ensure critical financial reporting deadlines are met
-CPA or CPA candidate
-Experience with an accounting system such as SAP or Oracle
