SNS Product Line has an immediate opening for an individual to serve as the Finance Leader for the Navy Standard Missile Product Area Directorate. The Navy Standard Missile PAD is a Portfolio of programs with a growing group of production and development programs with projected 2019 Revenues of ~$1.0B.

This Portfolio consists of the Standard Missile 6 Programs, Standard Missile 2 Programs, and any all relative advance programs focused on this product area. The portfolio is expecting to receive a +$2B Multiyear Procurement Award in 2019 that will require a new operating approach to make the most out of this key business opportunity. There are also a number of key development efforts that will be initiated in 2019 that will ensure a long future for the programs.

The product area portfolio includes multiple contract types, for both Development and
Production efforts, many with earned value reporting, which will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to excel in a variety of environments. Responsibilities include the coordination and oversight of the Program’s Five Year and Annual Operating Plans, Estimates at Completions (EACs), monthly financial forecasts, and regular financial status reviews with SNS Product Line leadership. A key requirement for this position is the ability to provide strategic financial leadership for the program including areas such as affordability, cost management, and program growth. An in-depth working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts, procedures and processes, including baseline planning and Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) preparation and execution is also required.

This PADs Finance Leader is responsible for leading a team of talented managers and analysts, coaching and mentoring members of the team at all levels, and ensuring proper staffing levels and the right skill mix needed to meet internal and external customer requirements.

Interested candidates must have prior Finance Management experience along with a proficiency in Finance reporting systems and processes. The successful candidate will have the ability to work relatively independently, be self-motivated, and comfortable with new challenges. Strong communication skills are also required, along with the ability to effectively interact with multiple layers within the organization and to make recommendations for appropriate solutions.

Minimum Required Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 years; preferably in prior finance management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related or a MS degrees and 10 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience effectively leading/managing/motivating/developing teams
  • Ability to provide strategic financial leadership for the program including areas such as affordability, cost management, and program growth.
  • Experience providing financial leadership over Production, Depot, and Logistics efforts
  • Ability to develop effective and respectful partnerships across Program Office, Engineering, Operations, Contracts, and Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills to motivate and develop employees
  • Experience preparing presentation packages for executive level review
  • Ability to obtain DOD security clearance.

Highly Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts, procedures and processes, including baseline planning and Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) preparation and execution
  • Exceptional analytical ability necessary to ensure program performance to plan and to ensure that problem areas are immediately identified and corrective action is taken.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) concepts, related systems, and processes
  • Experience successfully managing multiple priorities
  • Experience conducting business in a Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) environment
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Some travel may be required
