Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer in support of the Sensors Test, Analysis, Requirements, and Simulation (STARS) Product Office. The successful candidate will support the current and evolving Strategic Systems Engineering Services (SSES) efforts for the Systems, Simulation, Software, and Integration (S3I) Directorate customer. S3I, within the US Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) has development and support responsibilities for many weapon systems, related support systems, and associated enhancements. The Strategic Systems domain includes activities for Combatant Commanders (COCOMs), Agencies, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) efforts. The candidate will conduct daily duties at the S3I Directorate, Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Candidate will be responsible for creating credible/testable requirements, creating specifications, and implementing development of Strategic radar signal algorithms. The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to operate with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify system engineering requirements from customer goals and objectives
• Develop system architectures
• Developing work and process flow diagrams
• Conduct peer reviews
• Developing schedules
• Generate program documentation
• Develop and execute tests on beta and final products to ensure compliance with requirements

Required Qualifications with two years in the following:
• Understanding of radar signal and data processing
• Experience as a Strategic radar systems engineer
• Experience writing and maintaining requirements
• Familiarity with requirements management and tracking systems /tools
• MATLAB knowledge and experience
• Well organized
• Ability to successfully interact with a team of software developers
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to generate clear, concise, and intuitive presentations
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and reporting practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Secret clearance or ability to obtain a secret clearance

Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity X-Band radar technology (such as AN/TPY-2, SBX, etc.)
• Experience with understanding and mitigating Sea States
• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) requirements and reporting practices
• Experience with root cause analysis of Strategic radar systems and interoperability

Required Education:
• Applicants must have a minimum of a BS in an engineering discipline and at least 2 years systems engineering or related experience
