Modeling and Simulation Engineer, Orlando FL
Job ID: 475709BR
Date posted: Mar. 15, 2019
Description:Seeking an experienced Systems Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer to support ongoing development programs. The Candidate will develop simulation systems for high-fidelity missile design and for performance analysis of seeker systems. It is essential that the M&S Engineer understand the fundamentals of mechanics, aerodynamics, and electro optics. Experience with software development cycles, development tool chains, and team productivity tools are required. A prior background in device level I/O and hardware systems in the loop is essential to this position. Performance analysis experience comparing simulation data to flight test or lab test equipment for model refinement is also valuable.
The M&S candidate will be expected to:
- become familiar with in-house simulation suite and extend model capability,
- design and conduct model verification and validation studies,
- refine models given test data, and
- produce quality documentation for algorithms, interface control, implementation, and verification.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform some combination of the following Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments:
Demonstrate the ability to design a high-fidelity system simulation capable of predicting system pre-deployment performance.
Perform modeling and simulation tasks for hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), and 6DOF Integrated Flight simulations (IFS).
Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), and end-to-end battle management systems (BMS).
Integrate guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms into a high-fidelity IFS.
Perform trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability.
Demonstrate capability with both IR and RF threat modeling.
Demonstrate mastery of C++, MATLAB, Simulink.
Ability to obtain an interim security clearance and considered a US Citizen.
