What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Supply Chain Director

who can help transform our business to meet

the needs of our clients as we win new and exciting contracts in both the public

and private sectors. As an experienced Senior Procurement Manager or Director,

you will be looking to move into a position that allows you to challenge the

status-quo and truly shape the department. You’ll need to be an

articulate thought-leader with an

inquisitive mind, able to

critically analyse situations and

create value for us and our customers.

What will you do?

Reporting to

our Head of Capability, you will be directly responsible for the delivery of

‘cradle-to-grave’ supply chain solutions across our business, including the

leadership of our supply chain department.

Operating

across a range of sectors and countries, you will be required to develop and

implement our supply chain strategy and policies, build supplier relationships,

lead complex negotiations, and coordinate activities to meet the needs and

productivity of an international business unit maximizing the efficiency and

effectiveness.

You will be accountable

for all purchasing, sub-contracting and logistics activities and the

development of our supply chain department to meet our ever evolving

requirements. You will lead a global team and manage the delivery of business, functional

and capability objectives to add value for our clients and bids.

Qualifications

Essential:

Hold

an undergraduate degree in business, supply chain, or a related subject

·

MCIPS

Preferred:

·

An

MBA or master’s degree in supply chain or a related subject.

·

MCIPS

Chartered Professional and/or FCIPS

Experience

We are seeking

an articulate thought-leader with 10

years’ strong supply chain experience who

can drive change and take our supply chain capability to the next level.

The candidate

should show passion, energy and curiosity in equal measure. They must have

extensive relevant knowledge, be familiar with the latest thinking in supply

chains, and be able to harness these to benefit our business.

Ideally

you will have management experience in both the public and private sectors and

should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of public sector

procurement. Experience of leading departmental change would be a big

advantage.

The key experience and skills are:

The ability

to create a supply chain strategy and implement it

Proven

ability to manage the delivery of ‘cradle-to-grave’ supply chain solutions

Strong

leadership skills and with the ability to develop high performing

teams

Good

commercial acumen, with demonstrable experience in delivering robust,

cost

effective solutions to business challenges. Significant experience in

sub-contracting, including contract generation and

leading large complex multi-partner

negotiations

Excellent

written and oral communication skills,

with the ability to present

complex data and arguments in a way that is accessible to everyone.

Able to operate at senior

management levels both within the organisation and with our clients and

potential clients

Experience in

writing winning technical and commercial proposals

Excellent

relationship management skills, able to build and sustain relationships

with internal and external stakeholders

Good

knowledge of GS EMEA markets and customers

A high level of motivation, flexibility, drive, and personal

commitment

Monitor and

report on cost trends for key commodities.

Research and

evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, performance and capability

Essential:

you must hold or be able to obtain UK

security clearance to work in these roles. If you don’t already hold a form of

UK security clearance, don’t worry, we can help you to apply for it as part of

the recruitment process but ideally you will have been resident in the UK for a

minimum of 5 years in order to obtain clearance.

You need to be willing

to undertake travel; our clients are located around the UK and internationally.

Being able to drive is a big plus.
