Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking cyber research engineers with 2 to 10 years of experience for its government-funded cyber research practice in the central Maryland region. These engineers will work on small teams charged with creating new and unique TCP/IP networking stacks in the enclave to enterprise-edge environment. Candidates should be familiar with TCP/IP networking fundamentals, software reverse engineering, and the Linux operating system. Strong software development skills are also required.
•BS (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant field
•2+ years of experience depending on degree
•Ability to work between Columbia, MD and College Park, MD sites
• Software development proficiency in C/C++ required, Java/Python a plus
Relevant Knowledge and Skills:
•Linux including system-level development internals
•TCP/IP and Internet security protocols (e.g. TLS/SSL)
•TCP/IP network configuration fundamentals (e.g. iptables, firewalls)
•TCP/IP network traffic analysis (e.g. tcpdump, wireshark, packet analysis)
•Software reverse engineering (e.g. IDA Pro, Binary Ninja)
•Dynamic program analysis (e.g. gdb, ptrace, strace)
•VMs and virtual networking in a lab setting
