ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Essential functions of the job are comprised of Job Responsibilities and the Physical and Mental Requirements to perform those responsibilities in the established work Environment. See addendum for list of essential and marginal job tasks.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Safety, demonstrated behaviors in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries.
Quality, demonstrates behaviors in support of quality work processes to include Statistical Process Control-SPC, Document & track production variables, downtime, product samples and make adjustments to ensure proper packaging and casing of product to meet quality standards.
Continuous Improvement Actively support the ConAgra Performance System-CPS. Experience in a High Performance Work Systems; 5’s, working in teams, problem solving, six sigma, TPM, training, continuous skills development-CSD, auditing, planned and/or autonomous maintenance-AM.
Own a minimum of one area within a plant and drive 5S for that area.
Own a minimum of one piece of equipment in an area and be responsible for implementing Steps 1-3 in AM for that equipment.
Be responsible for keeping a Reliability Improvement Plan (RIP) for your respective line.
Participate in a minimum of 1 kaizen event a month.
Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Be a pillar owner / support for one of the pillars.
Conduct a minimum of one area audit per week.
Develop One Point Lessons-OPL’s, Training materials, and Standard Process Instructions-SPI’s to include, but not limited to creating power point presentations, training and presenting to Team Members across the organization.
Ability to maintain mastery on all skill sets that the associate has been certified on through ongoing skills audits and rotation.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the waste treatment system for the industrial facility.
Perform routine lubrication and maintain oil levels of plant-wide production machinery.
Monitor and maintain industrial and office infrastructure systems, including lighting, city water, and drains.
Monitor and maintain outdoor plant grounds and walkways, including snow removal.
Direct and supervise external contractors on facility improvement and repair projects.
Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild pumps and valves in waste treatment.
Keep up to date records of waste treatment activities, maintenance work orders, needed repairs, and parts requests and inventories.
Assist maintenance personnel in maintaining stationary support systems and production equipment and machinery.
Repair and fabricate industrial parts using machine shop tools such as, lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, and welding/brazing equipment.
Competent on PC Software (SAP, Plant Drawing System, Word, Excel and Outlook).
Competent in the use of Electrical Testing Equipment and Basic Hand Tools.
Capable of performing small installations, (conduit and other electrical equipment).
Have understanding of the National Electric Code and other reference materials and charts.
Have math skills as needed for measuring and calculating electrical formulas.
Be able to identify electrical components and follow wiring diagrams.
Perform duties with speed, precision, and conscientiousness and with a high regard for workplace safety.
Work overtime as required to achieve production and maintenance schedules.
Perform other duties that the Facilities Manager or Plant Engineer might require.
Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
The ability to meet attendance requirements.
The ability to interact effectively and professionally with coworkers.
Be able to perform all skills as outlined on the Skills Element Tree.
