Sustainment Logistics Analyst - UAS


Sustainment Logistics Analyst will be assigned to the Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems (TUAS) Logistics staff of the UAS Program Office. As a member of the TUAS Sustainment staff, the Sustainment Logistics Analyst supports the TUAS Product Support Manager (PSM) by serving as the resident staff expert and Integrated Product Team (IPT) coordinator for all TUAS Fleet Sustainment Logistics planning, documentation development, staffing/coordination, execution, and implementation oversight/monitoring activities.


a. Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to Product Office Logistics Lead for Army Aviation related maintenance procedures, practices and matters, including demonstrating knowledge of DoD, DA, AMC, and AMCOM policies and guidance.

b. Establish, manage, and execute sustainment logistics Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) that includes PM, prime contractor, AMCOM, AMC, HQDA, Depot representative, and other participants as necessary. Maintain a Point of Contact (POC) list of participants.

c. Develop a sustainment logistics strategy/roadmap for the TUAS Project Office and assigned product offices. Establishes and recommends changes to program policies and procedures as necessary which may affect subordinate product office operations.

d. Manage, schedule, execute, and update related documents as necessary, including all AR 700 series logistics regulations per DoD, Army, and AMCOM guidance. This includes proper usage of applicable Operator’s manuals, technical manuals, DA Pam 738-751, DA Pam 750-8, TM 1-1500-328-23, TM 1-1500-341-01, AR 750-1, AR 750-6, and AR 750-10.

e. Determine, establish, and execute maintenance integration roles/needs assessments and other difficult and complex sustainment logistics development/integration assignments.

f. Responsibilities include daily oversight of Shadow, and Small UAS maintenance operations and field support efforts, as well as development and enforcement of applicable maintenance related policies, procedures, and regulations.

g. Responsibilities include synchronizing Aircraft Notebook (ACN) fielding support efforts, Legitimate Code Files updates, as well as development and enforcement of applicable maintenance related policies, procedures, and regulations.

h. Responsibilities include, Train, Review, Interpret, and recommend changes required Army readiness reporting regulations such as AR 700-138 & DA-PAM 751-738.

i. Monitors and advises the Product Manager and PSM on all aspects of the TUAS supply chain, to Include maintenance turnaround and repair part transit times, work in process inventory Management, inventory stockade levels, operational capacity management and quality assurance.

j. Develop and maintain Smart Charts and information briefings as requested.

k. Support development and integration of TUAS PMO Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) processes, procedures, and initiatives.

l. Assist TUAS Product Teams with monitoring and executing management oversight of contractor Supply Chain Management (SCM), integration, utilization and work load and major item management processes, including performance metrics development, data collection processes implementation, documentation, monitoring, analysis, process management and performance metric and compliance reporting.


The ideal candidate will have 15 years prior Army Aviation maintenance experience at the U.S. Army Warrant Officer, or Sergeant First Class and above level.

Prospective candidates require an Secret Clearance. A Bachelor’s degree is desired but not mandatory. FAA licensed Airframe and Power Plant mechanic license is desired but not mandatory, Maintenance test pilot and/or flight training or Army non-rated flight crewmember experience is desired but not mandatory. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 (the NAMP) and its application to Marine Corps and Navy system maintenance. Prospective candidates must have thorough in-depth knowledge and expertise in Army aviation, Army ground, and Aviation ground support equipment maintenance procedures and standards. The candidate should have extensive experience with readiness reporting and Army automated logistics information system programs. The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communications skills, be proficient in Microsoft office products, and be able to completely articulate complex issues succinctly.
