We are seeking a Network Administrator that is able to work independently – please read below!

  • Analyzes voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communication networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
  • Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments.
  • Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
  • Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
  • May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
  • May perform network administration duties.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experiences network personnel.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principals, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
  • May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.
  • Demonstrated layer 2/3 networking experience required.
  • Experience with various crypto devices required (GD, ViaSat, etc.).
  • Will occasionally be required to perform desktop support, systems, information assurance and logistics duties.

Qualifications:

2-5 years of directly related experience in network analysis and administration.

 
Additional Requirements:
  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. 
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire.
  • Experience supporting multination customers preferred.
  • Experience operating in deployed environments preferred. Selected candidate must be willing to travel throughout the Middle East. Travel may be via commercial or military transport. Modes of transport include, but are not limited to; car, truck, armored vehicle, fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
  • Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment. 
  • This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide. Candidate will be expected to live alongside deployed military personnel in military provided accommodation. Housing options include, but are not limited to; open bay tents and multi-personnel containerized housing units “CHUs”.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements (medical, dental, and psychological) and be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary.
  • The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
