SAIC has an opening for a Sr. Network Security/Firewall Engineer located in Springfield, VA.
This is a
non-supervisory position for the Perimeter Security Division Firewall engineering
team within the Vanguard 2.2.1 contract, providing technical leadership/oversight
on multiple firewall and perimeter security systems and devices. The well
qualified candidate will possess and apply resource management and project
management expertise to help drive perimeter security projects. The candidate
must be capable of planning and leading engineering activities to include the
testing, implementation, and maintenance of perimeter security technologies and
devices and must be capable of communicating and coordinating all firewall
related work to the Firewall Manager to include the Government customer.
candidate must be capable of evaluating performance results, performing risk
assessments, and recommending changes impacting the perimeter security team. This
position is to specifically oversee and be the team lead on 8-10 resources. The position directly supports DoS on-site to
provide perimeter security protection to over 100,000 customers globally.

Bachelors degree with 15+ years total of IT experience. additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered
5+ years’ experience working
directly with Government customer
10+ years IT security/network
engineering support experience (Tier II, Tier III, network infrastructure
implementation and maintenance)
years’ experience managing multiple medium to large scale IT projects in
