Description:Come be a part of the development of the new Hypersonic Conventional Strike Weapon (HCSW). This new air-launched weapon system will include phases progressing through design, flight test, initial production and deployment of the weapon system. This position is located in Denver, Colorado and supprts the Air Force Hypersonic Conventional Strike Weapon (HCSW) Program.
This Mechanical Engineer position supports the Weapon System Booster Integration Team and Manager by performing tasks such as design, and development support for Missile Structures, generate detailed design of primary and secondary structure, create CAD models and detailed build-to-print drawings, tolerance parts to ensure proper fit, release drawings/models to engineering configuration control vault, perform varied tasks with direction from a senior lead engineer. Help research, plan, design and develops mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems for flight as well as ground systems.
Specific area of focus for this position is development, qualification, and deployment of the Booster Propulsion System.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
