Description:The Chelmsford Business Operations Team is looking for a self-motivated person with a strong education in business, finance, industrial engineering, data analysis or accounting. The position will support program and functional management in a dynamic, high-tech electronics manufacturing and design facility. The successful candidate will have demonstrated both willingness and ability to assume responsibility with little direction. Responsibilities may include: calculating, analyzing and reporting equivalent units completed; developing labor hour, travel, and material dollar budgets and estimates-to-complete (ETCs) and entering them into cost reporting system; researching, analyzing and explaining cost, schedule variances, and material price/usage variances to support customer cost performance reporting and internal program and functional reviews; developing and analyzing performance reports; entering earned value measurements into cost tracking system; developing estimates-at-completion (EACs); developing estimating inputs and basis of estimate (BOE) write-ups, and developing Schedule/Budget Change Requests (SBCRs). Successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team. Will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Lockheed Martin policies and procedures, as well as Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and contract requirements. Will support project and functional managers in developing cost and earned value (EV) data in an accurate and timely manner. Will need to be able to analyze complex data, identify risks and opportunities, develop creative solutions, effectively communicate recommendations and initiate corrective action. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north. It should be noted that Chelmsford, Massachusetts is approximately 35 miles northwest of the Boston metropolitan area and offers better access to a wide range of substantially more affordable regions in the area to live. Those regions include Northeastern and North Central Massachusetts, and Southern, New Hampshire.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.

Prior experience as financial analyst, cost analyst, cost estimator, data analyst or materials analyst, or analyzing data in a similar functional role.

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance and must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills:
1) Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel; 2) excellent interpersonal skills; 3) ability to analyze and organize large amounts of complex data; 4) excellent written and oral communications skills; 5) SAP experience, in defense contracting environment; 6) experience tracking, analyzing and reporting direct labor hour charges; 7) estimating experience, including developing inputs for cost proposals, especially using learning curves; 8) experience using labor standards; 9) experience using earned value measurement systems (EVMS) on government contracts; 10) materials cost analysis experience; 11) experience analyzing large databases; 12) experience writing and using macros, and; 13) experience developing and analyzing cost variance reports.
