Manage Platform timelines and critical milestones for the Quality Index implementations, the Food Safety & Quality Pillar Journey Map, and participate in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures, act as a liaison for all EISS International related matters, etc…
Collaborate with the QA Audit Team, Supplier Quality, Procurement, and other functional areas responsible for approving and qualifying International Suppliers, Co Packers, Warehouses, and Toll Processors.
Provide quality and food safety support for all assigned International projects and work directly with domestic Platform Quality managers, RQI resources, and other relevant areas when following up on concerns related to the International Organization.
Collaborate with Co Man and Enterprise Platform Quality in food safety and quality improvement efforts related to International products.
Support changes to existing International products in response to complaints, customer requests, innovation, improvements, or MVP (Maximizing Value Productivity).
Support R&I in International products development and commercialization from a quality and food safety aspect. This is a joint responsibility with Enterprise and Plant Quality personnel and other relevant functional areas internally and at Co Mans.
Provide support and justification for incorporating the necessary tools, equipment, and methods into the new and existing processes aimed at continuous improvement for International products. This will include supporting the use of toolboxes (SPC, ISO, 6 Sigma, etc.) to measure and control quality systems and processes for continuous improvement.
Support International customers and providing an International Quality interface to the RI, SC, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service, and Regulatory. Understanding and communicating International customer expectations and specifications are key elements of the position.
Setting quality strategies for improving quality standards, goals and objectives related to International needs is expected for future growth in the business.
Responsible for all aspects of quality including food safety, product consistency, regulatory and specification compliance, customer complaints, suppliers, Co Manufacturers, Joint Ventures, and Affiliates.
This position will participate in joint sales/technical meetings with key customers.
Responsible for investigating and communicating follow-up activities to assure complete International customer satisfaction. Responsible for working across all platforms within ConAgra Foods and across functional groups such as Quality and Food Safety, R&I, Regulatory, Sales and Logistics, Global, etc. with the goal of supporting the International, Global, Canadian, Latin America Region (LAR) and International Channels.
Be the subject matter expert on QA processes and procedures such as Traceability, Recalls, and EISS issues, protocols, processes and QA standards., changes to Corp. QA processes, CFIA, USDA, and other regional regulations, Customer Complaints and Requests,….etc.
Other responsibilities/duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
B.S. in Food Science or related field required. Other will be considered depending in relevant experience.
Minimum of 7 years Quality Assurance experience in food industry required preferably across different food processing industries domestically and preferred internationally too.
Demonstrated advanced understanding of Food Safety, Quality, and Public health.
Relevant experience with government regulatory requirements in food processing both domestically and internationally.
Experience with USDA/ FDA/CFIA regulated facilities. Equivalent International ones are strongly preferred.
Create strategic quality improvement plans with International customers and internal customers.
Work independently with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects within their area of responsibility. This includes managing and prioritizing multiple and possibly conflicting priorities.
Demonstrated Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), and report writing skills.
Excellent Knowledge of Project management. Demonstrated history of handling multiple projects simultaneously and working independently.
Experience with using a full range of statistical and analytical tools and fundamentals.
Preferred familiarity with all products sold to International Customers and their expectations of ConAgra Foods is preferred.
Ability to stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
Strong relationship skills to achieve strong partnership and collaboration, both internally and externally.
Experience managing & developing others strongly preferred.
Demonstrate sensitivity and understanding of International Cultures.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally 50%-75% of the time. Must be able to travel independently and as a responsible CAG representative.
On some occasions and while covering certain projects, ability to be stationed in assigned international regions for extended periods.
