Description

SAIC is seeking a Business/Supply Chain Analyst to investigate/research DOD contracting companies’ key corporate performance parameters, ownership, personnel skills and demographics, and other data relevant and important to the company’s product supply chain.


This position will require:

    • Researching the Internet and technical journals/publications extensively

    • Creating processes and methods to gather supply chain data

    • Analyzing data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvement

    • Contacting and Interacting with company/corporate representatives to obtain data necessary to develop comprehensive insight and understanding of that entities’ supply chain.

    • Evaluating vendor operations

    • Evaluating Risk Readiness, Risk Response, and Risk Recovery domains

    • Evaluating the various disciplines that come together to make up the entirety of a Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) capability

    • Researching and determining existence of a Secure Supply Chain or an anchor capability

    • Identifying company assets and Total Asset Visibility

 


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree with focus in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance or similar field  
  • Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting

    Familiarity with supply chain processes   

  • Communication skills are critical. Position will require excellent verbal and writing skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication
  • Time management and high attention to detail
  • The ability to be highly analytical and prioritize in an effective manner.
  • The ability to manipulate several streams of data
  • Potential for Teleworking: No 
  • Mid-level proficiency with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and Access
