The candidate will exercise both thought leadership and practical engineering application by leveraging Systems Engineering and Model-Based Engineering experiences to transform programs from a document-centric approach to a model-based approach to more effectively support our customers and ensure their mission success. You will use your knowledge of systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to help develop, implement, and deploy Systems Engineering and Integration solutions for our customers.

  • Advance the state of the practice for a variety of systems engineering (SE) initiatives such as Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) engineering, Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) engineering, and Value Engineering (VE)
  • Support the use of SE principles and best practices by the DOD acquisition community and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Interact with DoD stakeholders to promote effective technical collaboration.
  • Perform statistical data analysis in support of the SE initiatives.


  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) field
  • BS plus 10 years of systems engineering experience, MS plus 7, PhD plus 4
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to compile, analyze, interpret, report, present, and respond to inquiries on data, information, and procedures associated with SE initiatives
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired Qualifications


  • Exposure to multidisciplinary analysis and optimization tools and event based management tools
  • Knowledge of DODI 5000.02 and JCIDS process
  • INCOSE Certification (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP) dependent on experience.
  • Experience leading systems engineering teams through all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle using MBSE
  • Experience or familiarity with administration of Model Based Engineering tools
  • Broad Model-Based Engineering Applications and Technology background (i.e., tools, ontologies, OSLC, internet of things, cyber security, etc.)
  • Experience or familiarity with various analytical and decision aid tools (e.g., MatLab, STK, etc.)
