Description

SAIC’s National Security Customer Group (NSCG) is currently hiring for a customer within the Intelligence Community (IC) in Chantilly, VA. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating a robust space resiliency architecture.

 

SAIC is seeking a Systems Test Engineer that can work in a collaborative team-focused environment.  The successful candidate will be a member of the verification and validation (V&V) team that plans and executes government test events for an agile software development ground system.  As the V&V Team Lead, the candidate will be responsible for scoping, scheduling, organizing and managing delivery of customer deliverables and test activities. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the V&V focal point by assisting the customer in managing all testing and V&V activities for all phases of the program lifecycle

  • Coordinate with Developers, on behalf of the Government, to scope and plan test activities

  • Prioritize work in a rapidly changing environment

  • Collaboratively assign work to V&V team members

  • Be a team member responsible for  preparing and executing V&V plans and procedures


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline with 9 years relevant system engineering and testing experience
  • Five years of team leadership experience directly supervising staff

  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and writing skills

  • Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph

 


Desired Qualifications

 


  • Knowledge of Agile development using SAFe

  • Advanced degree in engineering, software development, or related disciplines

  • Experience in multiple phases of the life-cycle process and the systems engineering “V”

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) or the Intelligence Community (IC) R&D organizations
