We are looking for a experienced Multimedia/Computer Programmer to join the SAIC TEAM to support the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The primary service of the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) is to move air traffic safely and efficiently. The continuing mission of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is to provide the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world. The FAA Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Safety and Technical Training is the primary FAA organization responsible for delivering technical training to Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs) and Airway Transportation System Specialists (ATSS).
Safety and Technical Training has implemented a curriculum maintenance program to ensure the current ATC and ATSS technical training curriculum is up-to-date.
At SAIC, our women and men are currently working within the FAA in various successful roles. This opportunity is available in support of the ATO.
The Multimedia Programmer is responsible for developing interactive eLearning products, templates, and methods for converting current computer-based content and integrating into the FAAs Learning Management System (eLMS).
The Programmer will interact with team members and customers to develop effective, engaging interactive training products. In addition to programming complex interactions the ideal candidate will create top quality re-usable templates and support the team in their effective implementation. Responsibilities include development and deployment of SCORM and 508 compliant courseware packages. The individual must be a self-starter who takes ownership of his or her work. Attention to detail is required, as well as demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, manage time efficiently, and work in a team environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Instructional Technology or a comparable field from an accredited college or university plus at least 3 years related experience is required. Four years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Experience with the life cycle of design and programming of training content from concept through project completion. Experience in XML and adaptive design is highly desired. Working experience with Flash CS3 or higher and/or Adobe suite of
desired. Familiarity with Experience API compliancy is a plus.
