Position Title: Lead Analyzer Engineer

Position Description/Job Responsibilities

Under broad direction, supervises and leads a group of engineers. Provides technical direction over a group and is Responsible for design, specification and services related to control systems including basic process control systems, safety systems, control panels, analyzer systems, telecommunications, field instrumentation, and valves etc. May also be responsible for advanced controls optimization. With general autonomy, establishes and maintains the technical standards within the discipline. Conceives and develops creative/innovative technology critical to the company's success. Responsible for extensive and complex programs requiring staff and resources of sizable magnitude. Job role is independently accountable for a large staff or support arm of the organization or a single profit/loss or revenue center, major product line, or support function. This level is often referred to as chief engineer. This level will be vacant in many organizations and is only used when an engineer is needed at this level to make major contributions to the product mix of the organization. An individual at this level may be an individual researcher or consultant who is recognized as a national and /or international authority and leader in an area of engineering or scientific interest and investigation. Such individuals are characterized by their demonstrated ability to conceive of and develop creative/innovative technology critical to the company's success.

  • Provides technical guidance to designers and engineers
  • Mentors one or more CSE engineer, and participates in formal and informal technical seminars
  • Learn the latest technology in instrumentation and controls in order to maintain current proficiency in the industry, and be able to make the best technology recommendations
  • Work directly with individuals and leaders in other groups to ensure CSE is properly implemented (i.e. 3D model, piping orientation, etc.)
  • Responsible for leadership of a project. Includes ability to plan, schedule, meet budgets, assume responsibility for CSE deliverables, and direct supervision of CSE engineers



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of related experience
  • A candidate must continually keep abreast of the fast paced instrumentation and controls technology. Professional Engineering certification desired
  • Requires a broad knowledge of process and environmental analyzers, analyzer systems, and laboratory equipment. Detailed knowledge, with direct experience with analyzer and analyzer systems is required
  • Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer preferred
