Job Summary
Own and drive strategic & operating plan process to grow the assigned brand. Direct assigned brands/businesses on business integration, leading the growth strategy, owning the P&L, talent management & optimization for their brand team, and creates player/coach culture for their assigned brand and retail management. Establishes strategic marketing plans and policies to achieve objectives for products and services. Develops and executives comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization. Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity. Develops and manages marketing operating budget. Determines agencies and suppliers of record, and negotiates contract terms and conditions for major services. Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share. Works closely with marketing research, sales, manufacturing, distribution, advertising agencies and legal in the development of marketing plans. 10 plus years of related experience.
Position Responsibilities
Own development of growth strategies and align other functions/teams to those strategies and AOP for assigned brands
Establish and provide clear direction to team to ensure brand initiatives are consistent with brand goals, priorities and strategies to deliver the Annual Operating Plan
Work cross functionally with Consumer insight/segmentation, brand equity assessment, category/brand/geographic expansion, competitive analysis/response
Strategic linkage development across business objectives/strategies/plans
Innovation opportunity identification & core competency identification/opportunity assessment
Delivers business plan results and own decisions that impact assigned brands P&L
Drive prioritization on resources (people, budget, capital)
Lead integration of marketing initiatives into a cohesive and seamless plan to deliver share, penetration and/or buy rate objectives
Identify and lead process improvements at the brand and/or portfolio level
Owns talent management and development for their brand team (IDP discussions, training, etc.)
Manage direct reports & mentorship of colleague(s)
Lead recruiting and talent development for brand management (e.g. Onboarding Process, MBA recruiting, training, etc.)
Position Qualifications
10+ experience in industry related category
Experience in development of advertising, new product and media plans, working with sales and trade
Responsible for marketing with significant budgets, P&L responsibility and of management of others
MBA required
