FTI is currently looking for a Database Administrator in Yuma, AZ. This position is responsible for providing database administration and data analysis in support of testing and evaluations for the Department of the Navy’s Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COTF). The position requires a secret clearance.
The candidate will perform work which encompasses SQL server development/maintenance and data analysis in support of US Government test activities. Duties include:
Leverage previous SQL knowledge to design, implement and maintain a database in support of operational test activities
Work under the supervision of the Senior Database Analyst to analyze test data and provide reports in accordance with government guidelines
Administer a SQL Server environment supporting the VMX-1 program during test, evaluation, and operational assessments
Develop, execute and modify SQL queries, and filter and analyze results
Analyze and review existing system and program logic to create and maintain product documentation
Perform data synchronization with external data sources and SQL Server databases
Manage data entry during test events
Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data
Compile test reports utilizing data from multiple data sources
Design database solutions to support a growing environment
Education: BS in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or related fields
Years of experience: 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or newer; 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Access and SharePoint; Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Qualifications: Must be able to obtain a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II certification (equivalent) in Test and Evaluation, Systems Planning, Research, Development within 2 years. Completion of the COMOPTEVFOR Operational Test Director (OTD) course within a year. Working knowledge of the DoD 5000 series, OPNAVINST 5000.42 series, as well as SECNAVINST 5000 series instructions.
Certifications: Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ (preferred)
Skills / tools / programming competency / technical background: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and newer; SQL Server Reporting Services; Visual basic/Access database experience (preferred)
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/ maintain a government security clearance
Must possess an active government security clearance
